Williams Baptist University invites applications for a tenure-track position in English. The position will begin with the fall semester, 2019. The English Department offers both a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Science in English Education degree.
A doctorate is required.
Duties will include teaching Composition I and II, World Literature I and II classes, as well as upper-level courses in both English and American literature. In addition, advising students, performing faculty committee and departmental assignments, participating in university-wide activities, co-sponsoring Sigma Tau Delta, the English honor society, and professional and scholarly engagement are essential elements of the position.
The salary and rank will be commensurate with educational preparation and
experience. Retirement, group life and health insurance, and on-campus faculty housing are available.
