Storm Preparedness

While we hope that severe weather does not impact the WBU campus, we also know severe weather can happen in our area. In the event of severe weather, please note the following steps to take on the WBU campus.

• Storm shelter areas are displayed on maps in all academic buildings and residence halls.  In the event of a tornado warning, please proceed to an area marked in yellow on these maps.
• If a tornado warning is issued for Lawrence County, text alerts will be sent to the campus community, and residence hall staff will move all residents to designated safe areas.  A tornado siren will also alert the campus.
