International Student Admissions Criteria​

Freshman International Student Checklist:

  • An InCred high school transcript evaluation (this is the only form of transcript we accept). Please wait until an Admissions Counselor reaches out to you before sending a transcript through InCred.
  • One of the following with these scores or higher:
    • TOEFL IBT: 61
    • TOEFL PBT: 500
    • Duolingo: 95
    • IELTS: 6.0
    • ACT: 20
    • SAT: 1030
    • CLT: 66
  • Immunization Record (In English)
  • Passport 
 

When all of this information is turned in we send a WBU Financial Certification and I-20. 

After acceptance, we require a Housing deposit of $100 only from students living in residence halls.

Transfer International Student Checklist:

  • A cumulative GPA of 2.0 and a minimum of 24 credit hours to be considered a transfer
  • College Transcripts (from all previous institutions if you attended College/University in the United States)
  • If you attend Colleges/Universities outside of the United States an InCred  transcript evaluation is required (this is the only form of transcript we accept).
  • Immunization Record (in English)
  • A Copy of Passport 
  • A Copy of Visa

Current Student Resources

i-20 request form

This form is only for current students and students on active OPT who need a reprinted I-20 for travel, Driver’s Licenses, or Social Security Number.

new international student check-in

All new international students (freshman and transfers) with an initial I-20 must complete this check-in form IMMEDIATELY and ONLY AFTER arriving in the U.S. You will need your:

  1. Passport
  2. Visa
  3. I-20 
  4. I-94 (can be obtained here: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home)

Transfer Out Form

Are you moving on to new opportunities? Congratulations! You must have your SEVIS record transferred to a new institution. Please follow these steps to request the SEVIS transfer:

  1. Complete the transfer-out request form and transfer agreement, and upload a copy of your acceptance letter.
  2. You have a limited amount of time to transfer out, but this period does not begin until you have completed your classes at WBU.
  3. U.S. immigration regulations require that you attend the next available session at your new school.
  4. If you plan to travel outside of the U.S. before classes begin at your new school, you will need to use the I-20 from your new school to re-enter the U.S.
