Arkansas

Challenge

Deadline to apply: July 1

The Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship is a state-funded award that helps Arkansas students lower the cost of attending Williams Baptist University. Eligible students—those with an ACT score of 19 or higher or a 2.5 GPA—can receive up to $14,000 over four years at WBU. The scholarship starts at $2,000 for the first year and increases each year, reaching $5,000 in the senior year. It’s also stackable with most of WBU’s institutional scholarships, meaning it directly reduces your out-of-pocket costs. Students with a Student Aid Index (SAI) of 7,999 or lower may qualify for an additional $500 per semester for their first three years through the Challenge PLUS program. Combined with WBU’s scholarships and grants, this program makes a high-quality, faith-based education at WBU even more affordable for Arkansas students.
