Narnia & Middle Earth | Great stories don’t just entertain—they shape how we see the world. In this course, you’ll journey through the works of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien, exploring The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lord of the Rings, and Mere Christianity, among others. Through literary analysis and theological discussion, you’ll uncover the deep themes of faith, morality, and heroism woven into their stories and discover why their worlds continue to captivate and inspire generations.
Creative Writing | Every great writer starts with a blank page and a dream. This course immerses you in the art of storytelling and poetry, challenging you to craft original works while receiving constructive feedback in a supportive workshop setting. Whether you aspire to publish, perform, or simply express yourself more powerfully, this class will help you refine your voice and bring your stories to life.
Masterworks of World Literature | Great literature connects us across time and culture, revealing the universal human experience. In this course, you’ll engage with timeless works from both Eastern and Western traditions, from Gilgamesh and The Iliad to Shakespeare. In World Literature we analyze the worldviews conveyed by these works in light of the truth of biblical scripture to better understand both ancient cultures and the timeless truth of the Bible.
Pop Culture & Worldview | From blockbuster movies to viral songs, pop culture shapes how we think, believe, and live. This is what we talk about when we talk about worldview. This course critically examines modern media—films, TV shows, and music—through the lens of a Christ-centered worldview, helping you uncover the deeper messages behind entertainment. By the end, you’ll see the world around you with new clarity, recognizing the stories that influence society in ways that sometimes support (and sometimes deny) the truth of scripture.
Online Journalism | The digital age has revolutionized storytelling—are you ready to be part of it? This course explores the fast-paced world of online journalism, from writing compelling digital news to navigating social media’s role in the news cycle. You’ll engage in discussions on media ethics, legal implications, and emerging trends, equipping you with the skills to inform and impact audiences in the ever-changing media landscape.
