Clinical Supervisor Teacher Residency – TEMPORARY/ADJUNCT

Williams Baptist University seeks qualified Clinical Teacher Residency Supervisors to support
teacher candidates during their final year of clinical practice in K–12 school environments for the
2026–2027 academic year. Multiple supervisor positions are expected to be filled across content
areas and grade levels to support teacher residents placed throughout partner school districts.
Clinical Teacher Residency Supervisors are appointed on an annual basis, with opportunities for
continued appointment in future academic years based on program needs, resident enrollment,
and availability within specific licensure and content areas.

Education and Certifications:

  • Required: Master’s Degree or Higher in Education
  • Required: Active Arkansas Teaching License
  • Preferred or willingness to train: Arkansas TESS Training, DESE-Recognized Coaching Training

Essential Functions:

  • Observing interns/residents in K-12 partner school classrooms
  • Providing coaching and formative feedback to interns/residents
  • Conducting walkthroughs and evaluations aligned to Arkansas TESS and InTASC
  • Collaborating with K-12 mentor teachers to evaluate residents
  • Reviewing lesson plans/reflections
  • Serving as a liaison between university and partner school district
  • Supporting residency completion requirements
  • Maintaining documentation and assessment records
  • Collaborate with the Education Coordinator to ensure licensure requirements are met

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

  • Evangelical faith commitment (see special requirements below)
  • Excellent coaching and interpersonal skills to mentor adult learners
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in education and teaching
  • Experience with state initiatives and data tracking
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Clear communicator
  • Experience with Google DRIVE, Google Docs, Google Sheets

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, type, and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time and to lift 35 lbs.
  • Ability to use standard office equipment
  • Ability to use institutional technology equipment and resources
