The mission of the Department of Music at Williams Baptist University is to provide excellent music training to students preparing for careers in music, church music, and music education. The study of music at Williams is essentially a three-fold program, including studies in the liberal arts, training in basic musicianship, and specialized training.

The core of the music program is musicianship i.e., applied music study, which includes solo and ensemble experience, music literature and history, music education, conducting, and extensive studies of music theory. Our aim is to allow our students’ creativity to shine, thrive, and grow through their time here and in their life once they have fulfilled their educational goals.
