Felix Goodson Library (FGL) welcomes patrons from Williams Baptist University (WBU), including current students, faculty, staff, and administrators, as well as patrons from surrounding communities.

  • WBU Identification Cards.  WBU identification cards with individually assigned patron numbers and barcodes are issued to WBU students and staff through the Office of Student Affairs.  These identification cards also serve as library cards.
  • Community Patron Card.  Members of the surrounding community age 18 and older may apply for a FGL Community Patron Card.  Upon approval, a card with a community borrower’s privileges will be issued.
  • Other users.  Responsible persons under the age of 18 accompanied by a guardian are welcome to use FGL facilities.  However, borrowing privileges are not granted.
  • ARKLink Card.  Current ARKLink cardholders in good standing with participating Arkansas academic libraries may borrow circulating books from FGL.  As authorized by the ARKLink Reciprocal Agreement, WBU identification cardholders may request an ARKLink Card to borrow from other participating Arkansas academic libraries.

We are glad you have chosen to visit Felix Goodson Library.  If you are 18 or older you may apply for a library privilege card which allows you to check out three (3) circulating items at a time.  An application must be made in person.  Please allow one week for the review of the application.  If approved, the card will be mailed to the address on the application.  Two forms of identification* and two telephone numbers are required with the application.

The applicant must sign an agreement of responsibility stating:

  • To be responsible for all items borrowed;
  • To immediately report the loss of the card or any change of contact information: Card replacement fee is $10.00;
  • To present the Community Patron Card when checking out materials;

Borrowers are responsible for returning all materials checked out in their name on time and in good condition.  Borrowers are liable for replacement cost at a minimum of $72.00 per item.  Items are considered “lost” when overdue 50 or more days.  At the end of each semester, all overdue materials must be returned and all fines and fees paid.

Damaged or Lost items

Damaged or lost items will be assessed a minimum replacement fee of $72.00 per item.  Items of substantial value will be assessed at the currently listed replacement cost plus a $15.00 processing fee.  All charges must be paid before borrowing privileges will be restored.  If lost materials are later found and returned to the Library after the replacement cost has been paid, the borrower may be entitled to a partial refund.

Overdue and Fines Notices

Notice of overdue items and outstanding fines are issued to patron’s throughout the semester.  Please note that fines cannot be calculated before the item is actually checked in.  Fines do not accumulate after item check-in but are due until paid.  Library accounts must be cleared as soon as possible before the end of the semester.
