Harris Appointed to State Arkansas Heritage Committee

Rodney Harris, assistant professor of history at Williams Baptist University, has been appointed by the director of the Department of Arkansas Heritage to the Review Committee for the Arkansas Historic Marker Program.

The Arkansas Historic Marker Program was established in 2017 by the Department of Arkansas Heritage. The program strives to preserve and promote Arkansas cultural and historic resources. The markers acknowledge people, places and events that have taken place in Arkansas to educate the public of their importance.

Harris will serve the Program Review Committee as an Arkansas History Academic.

Williams is a Christian, liberal arts college in Walnut Ridge, Ark.  It will become Williams Baptist University in July of 2018.
