Williams Baptist University is introducing its new president, Dr. Stan Norman, at events around the state of Arkansas. The receptions are dubbed “Meet the Prez,” and WBU is planning to host them in all corners of the state over the next several months.
Dr. Norman took office in April as the 7th president of WBU. He has over 20 years of experience as a professor and administrator in Baptist higher education, and he came to Williams after serving for nine years as provost and executive vice president at Oklahoma Baptist University.
“We are very excited about Dr. Norman and his vision for WBU, so we want to invite everyone to meet him, talk with him and share our excitement for the future of Christian higher education at Williams. Our goal is that, by the time we’re done, everyone in Arkansas will be within 50 miles of a Meet the Prez reception,” said Brett Cooper, vice president for institutional advancement.
Meet the Prez receptions are informal, drop-in events that are meant to give everyone an opportunity to talk with the Williams president. Five such events have already been scheduled, with more to be added in coming months. Currently scheduled receptions are:
