Southwestern A Cappella to Perform at WBU Oct. 5

Williams Baptist University will host Southwestern A Cappella, a 17-voice vocal ensemble from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, in concert on Thursday, October 5. The concert will be at 7:00 p.m. in WBU’s Manley Chapel. It is free and open to the public.

Southwestern A Cappella is committed to ministry through the medium of a cappella jazz, modern songs of the church, and classic hymns scored in fresh ways. It features advanced vocalists who perform complex harmonization and modern vocal stylizations, all in the context of ministry.

The group is composed of music students from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Tex., as well as the seminary’s Texas Baptist College.
