WBU Honors Students for Academic Excellence

Sixteen Standout students were honored in their respective disciplines on Thursday, April 25, as Williams Baptist University held its annual Academic Awards Ceremony. The event was held in the Moody Room of WBU’s Mabee-Gwinup Cafeteria.

The awards were presented to outstanding students in the university’s academic departments. The winners were:

  • Biology Award: Calista Christian of Conway, Ark.
  • Business Award: Nicholas Powell of Walnut Ridge, Ark. and Logan Tharp of Pocahontas, Ark.
  • Christian Ministries – H.L Waters Award: Reagan Lee of Jonesboro, Ark.
  • Dr. RoseMary Weaver Elementary Education Award: Lindsey Ebarb of Fort Smith, Ark. 
  • English Award: Cassidy Clayton of Walnut Ridge, Ark.
  • Health and Physical Education: Madison Mittag of Campbell, Mo.
  • History Award: Alex Cole of Manila, Ark.
  • Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts Award: Olivia “Livvie” Campbell of Brookland, Ark. and Quinn Crosskno of Blytheville, Ark.
  • Master of Arts in Teaching Award: Tonya Fitzgibbon of Walnut Ridge, Ark. and Brandon Taylor of Pocahontas, Ark.
  • Music Award: Kira Rogers of Pocahontas, Ark.
  • Psychology: Kenzie Hatman of Mountain Home, Ark.
  • Child and Family Studies: Alex Noe of Paragould, Ark.

Williams is a private, Christian university in Walnut Ridge.
