Practice Equipment Donated to WBU Soccer Programs

The Williams Baptist University soccer programs received a generous donation from WBU soccer alumnus Lucas Custodio on Monday afternoon.

The donation included soccer balls, new practice nets, water bottles, and various other training equipment, all of which will enhance the team’s practice sessions and preparation.

“I played here for five years, and I love this program,” said Custodio.  “I had a great experience with the staff and coaches who helped me grow, and I am so grateful for the impact this program has had on my life.  We’re happy to support the soccer program in any way we can moving forward.”

Custodio, a former defender who played in 62 games for the Eagles between 2017 and 2021,  graduated from WBU in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.

“We are deeply grateful for Lucas’s generous donation to our program,” said head men’s soccer coach Carl Kennedy.  “It’s incredibly moving to hear how this school has shaped him as an individual, and we hope to continue making a positive impact in the lives of our athletes.”

Williams is a private, Christian institution located in Walnut Ridge, Ark.
