Williams Works Receives Gift from First National Bank of Commerce

The Williams Works program at Williams Baptist University has received a boost from First National Bank of Commerce. The $7,500 gift was presented to WBU President Dr. Stan Norman by Executive Vice President Tammy Franks.

“The ongoing generosity of First National Bank of Commerce is a true blessing to us at Williams,” Norman said. “We are proud to partner with them in helping our Walnut Ridge community to prosper, and we deeply appreciate the difference they make for our students through their support of Williams Works. They are wonderful neighbors.”

Students in the Williams Works program work 16 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters. In return, their tuition and student service fees are fully covered for each semester they participate. Moreover, students have the opportunity to work full-time during the summer, with their room and board expenses also covered, providing students a pathway to graduate debt-free.
