Gillespie Success Scholarship Established at Williams

Williams Baptist University is launching a new scholarship, thanks to the generosity of a Hot Springs Village couple.  The $10,000 gift from Richard and Deborah Gillespie will fund the Gillespie Success Scholarship.

“WBU has an incredible vision and track record of equipping students,” Richard Gillespie said. “Our country’s future is its young people. We’re proud to be a small part of this vision.”

The scholarship will be awarded to a student from Arkansas majoring in either business administration or finance at Williams, and it will be worth $5,000 per semester. Students must have at least a 3.0 grade point average to be eligible for the award.

“The Gillespie Success Scholarship rewards hard work and academic success,” said Luke Colley, vice president for institutional advancement. “This is a scholarship that lives up to its name by helping make success possible for deserving students. We sincerely appreciate the generosity of the Gillespies in making this scholarship possible.”
