Christian comedian Dennis Swanberg and Branson bluegrass band Southern Raised entertained a full house of senior adults at the annual Golden Age Conference, held Thursday at Williams Baptist University.  It was the fifth year for the event.

A crowd of nearly 500 filled WBU’s Manley Chapel for the conference.  Also featured was Ken Wadley, whose prowess on the piano received a warm response from the group.

Baptist associations across northeast Arkansas sponsor the event each year.  Associations involved were: Big Creek, Black River, Current-Gaines, Greene County, Mt. Zion, Mississippi County, Rocky Bayou, Tri-County and Trinity.

Williams is a private, Christian university in Walnut Ridge.
