WBU’s Eagle Farms Receives Donation of Truck

Eagle Farms at Williams Baptist University has received a truck that was donated to it. The 2010 Dodge Ram pickup was given to the school by James Mulligan of Little Rock, with the Arkansas Baptist Foundation serving as the intermediary.

Bobby Thomas, president and CEO of the ABF, presented the truck to Williams President Dr. Stan Norman, Vice President for Advancement Luke Colley and Farm Manager Brad Flippo.

The truck is to be used by the Eagle Farms lawn and landscaping crew, which mows lawns and does landscaping work for customers in and around Walnut Ridge. Eagle Farms is a component of WBU’s Williams Works initiative, which allows students to work their way through college.

“We are blessed to receive this truck, and we will put it to work immediately,” Dr. Norman said. “WBU is deeply grateful to Mr. Mulligan for his generosity and to the Arkansas Baptist Foundation for arranging this gift. This truck will help be of direct benefit in generating revenue, and that revenue all goes toward scholarships for our Williams Works students.”

Students in the Williams Works program work 16 hours per week through the fall and spring semesters, and their tuition and student services fees are fully covered. They can also apply to work full time through the summer months to pay for the following year’s room & board charges.

Williams is a private, Christian university in Walnut Ridge.
