Williams Student is First Runner Up at Piano Competition

David Ellis, a freshman at Williams Baptist University, was recently named first runner up for the Christine Piano Scholarship Award.  This piano competition is named after Christine Wang, a nationally certified teacher of music in Little Rock, Ark. It is opened to high school seniors and any college or university student studying music whose instructor is an active member of the Arkansas State Music Teachers Association (ASMTA).  Finalists will be auditioned by the scholarship committee.

Ellis, of Lafe, Ark., is the son of Billy and Dee Dee Ellis.    

Williams is a Christian, liberal arts university in Walnut Ridge, Ark.  It will become Williams Baptist University in July.
